Hervey Bay is the only place in Australia where you are guaranteed of sighting a whale during the whale watch season, which runs from mid July to early November. The warm, clear and pristine waters of Hervey Bay are protected by the world's largest sand Island, Fraser Island.

Hervey Bay is one of the only places in the world where the Humpback Whales seem to befriend their whale watchers, swimming and playing around the vessels and putting on some amazing acrobatic shows for the passengers on board. It is not unusual to see up to 20 whales or even more on your cruise in Hervey Bay, the Whale Watching Capital!

Fraser Island is the largest Sand Island in the world and is heritage listed due to its unique environment, flora and fauna. Classed as one of the best sand four wheel driving terrains in the world, Fraser Island also has many attractions well worth visiting including crystal clear lakes, dense rainforests, kilometres of white, sandy beaches and some of Australia's most pure native animals.
